Mino ware has a history of over 1,300 yearsMino ware, which boasts a history of over a thousand years, was cultivated in Toki City and Mizunami City in Gifu Prefecture and has been passed down through the generations thanks to the rich clay and the skills of artisans. The "Ajiro" pattern on the tumbler is an ancient Japanese design made from woven bamboo and wood since ancient times, and is imbued with prayers to ward off evil and disaster. The time-honed techniques and the form of prayer come together to convey Japanese tradition and dignity to the present day.

Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, is the birthplace of Mino ware, boasting a history of over 1,000 years. Yamakatsu Mino Touen was established there in 1974. Since its founding, the craftsmen have continued to challenge themselves in search of new expressions while preserving traditional techniques. We will continue to deliver Mino ware, which combines inherited techniques with modern sensibilities, not only to Japan but to the world.
